Door and other Hardware in DC

If you haven’t already, you should check out my collection of light fixture pictures from my recent trip to DC with my sister. I must say, I think I was more excited going into and out of the museums than I was in the museums.

These ventilation grates as the National Gallery were so cool. Some of them had been painted but a good number were still brass.

This one was outside a bar in Georgetown. It looks remarkably like this one from HinkleyLighting

I love these benches! They are branded “U.S. Capital” too which is kinda neat.

It was a super fun but whirl-wind trip. I hope you have enjoyed seeing a glimpse of the things that I love about DC.

Arlington Fire Station

Arlington has a neat octagonal fire station just down the street from our house.

It’s really a neat old building.

IMG_3809.JPG

I don’t know how old it is and I haven’t been able to find any information about it.

There is also a smaller monument commemorating some firefighters who died in 1945. I wonder what fire that was.

What do you think of the Around Town posts? Interesting or not?

Arlington War Memorial

Arlington has some neat spots and the war memorial area is no exception. There is a little garden area and a couple of neat monuments.
